THE "JULIAZO". IN JULY 1997 THE SPANISH GOVERNMENT ORGANISED AGAINST THE BASQUE LEFT NATIONALIST MOVEMENT THE BIGGEST FASCIST MOBILISATION KNOWN IN EUROPE SINCE THE EXTINCTION OF NAZI GERMANY.

6. The Spanish Government and media have lied so much about the magnitude of the demonstrations of the JULIAZO: a) because it is in their nature, b) because their objectives required it and c) because they knew they would manage to make many Spaniards and many foreigners believe them.

Firstly, the Spanish Government and mass media lied so much about the magnitude of the demonstrations in the JULIAZO because it is in their nature to lie like that. In their nature of capitalist Government and capitalist media. Because capitalist system is genetically opaque, non transparent, and rests on the base of things not being what they seem to be. Moreover, that things in this system seem to be what they aren’t. Essential task of capitalist Governments and mass media is to manufacture and feed-back the necessary false conscience to turn reality upside down and distort its knowledge. In such way that, for example, the worker whose employer robs him of the work he doesn’t get paid, thinks (and says) that that employer gives him a job.

We have to say again that fascism isn’t opposed to capitalism, but that it is an exceptional form of State capitalism adopts when it needs to. Congruently, it is not that the fascist capitalist State lies and that the "democratic" capitalist State doesn’t. Both, and their mass media, lie because both are capitalist and have to create the necessary false conscience among their subjects. And it isn’t sure that fascist lies are always bigger and more shameless than those of "democratic" capitalist States.

In the second place, the Spanish Government and mass media have lied so much in the JULIAZO because the script of the operation required to, because the set objectives required to. And to achieve them, it was essential to create the necessary false conscience of an overwhelming and never before seen "spontaneous" mass mobilisation (the famous SIX MILLION) that "supported the anti-terrorist policy of the Government" and "demanded him to strengthen that policy".
